Shooting galleries
Shooting galleries are composed of many, varied parts and, in order to guarantee maximum safety, the regulations in force are very restrictive. That is why CARP offers a series of tested and certified products capable of meeting every requirement for the creation of a shooting gallery, from both a technical and an aesthetic point of view. |

BULLET BACKSTOP
|
The purpose of a bullet backstop is to contain shots and prevent the return of fragments, without altering the initial characteristics.
Backstops must be chosen in accordance with the characteristics of the stand and the guns and ammunition used. (See data sheet TS.90.001) |
RIBS
|
The ribs are designed to intercept accidental shots, protecting the walls and any equipment located along the shooting gallery. The ribs are made from ballistic steel and must be of a suitable thickness for the guns and ammunition that will be used. |
SOUNDPROOFING
|
Technical standards require the walls and ceiling of the first section of the gallery, starting from the shooting area, to be lined; lining thickness varies according to the width of the stand. The lining is designed to guarantee ballistic safety and reduce the noise level so that it does not exceed levels imposed by the regulations currently in force. The soundproofing panels are made from various models and materials; the material must be chosen in accordance with the room and the type of guns used. |
BOXES
|
To guarantee safe shooting, every shooting position must be separated from the one next to it using a partition capable of preventing accidental shots from passing through and ricochet that could harm the operator. System controls and an intercom for communicating with the range manager can be inserted on the walls of the box. (See data sheet TS.91.001) |
EXTRACTION
|
Given the presence of noxious dust that forms during shooting, an extraction system is a very important factor in guaranteeing a healthy working environment. A system must be installed that captures all of the dust emitted whilst shooting and the position of the air supply and delivery grates must keep the shooting stall clean. |
FLOORING
|
The floor of the shooters area must be covered with suitable material to ensure that any shots accidentally fired to the ground do not cause ricochet or fragments that could endanger shooters. The characteristics of the materials used must comply with these specific requirements. |
CONSOLE
|
The control console plays an important role in the management of shooting activities. The panel includes all of the controls necessary for operating the systems, opening the stand entrance doors, the alarms and the intercom system for communication between the range manager and the shooters. |
